Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon

Smoked salmon used to be an expensive treat and, in many people’s minds, is still extravagant. In reality though, it is actually quite cheap and pretty ubiquitous these days, it is certainly the case that supermarket stuff can work out cheaper than decent bacon.

Anyway, it is a great breakfast treat for a Sunday morning with scrambled eggs and toasted muffins. I like a few splashes of chilli sauce to bring out the flavour with mine, but it is also nice without. I think it is best to avoid the HP sauce or tomato ketchup though.

I may have it again on the 25th, possibly with a glass of Buck’s Fizz.
