I’ve not done anything oriental for a while and I’d bought some oyster mushrooms so this seemed like a nice idea.
The ingredients are;
2 skinned, boned and cubed chicken breasts
I chopped onion
I cubed green pepper
3 crushed cloves of garlic
Light and dark soy sauce
Ground white pepper
Fry the vegetables (except the mushrooms) in hot oil for a couple of minutes and then add the chicken and cook everything until the chicken loses its pinkness. Add the mushrooms and cook for a minute or so.
Then add the various liquids and the salt and pepper and cook until the chicken is done. You will need to add some hot water because you need enough liquid for a sauce.
When cooked, add the cornflour paste and stir while the sauce thickens. Stir in the sesame oil and serve with plain white rice.
