Rib-eye steak with blue cheese

This was basically an oversized steak sandwich.

I heated up a couple of small ciabatta loaves in the oven, split them lengthways, layered them with lettuce and sliced tomatoes, seasoned with salt and pepper and then drizzled Bearnaise sauce over the salad before putting the griddled steaks on top, garnished with some slices of St Agur cheese.

That was pretty much it and it was delicious.

With it we drank a 2009 Bordeaux red but you could drink pretty much anything red really, or even a cold beer if you wanted to.
