Burgers and fries

I really wanted a burger tonight so I bought some decent Aberdeen Angus mince, seasoned it with black pepper and a little salt and made some.

These were griddled and served in toasted baps with some crisp streaky bacon and slices of English goat’s cheese. I don’t really like those ready-sliced cheeses except for using in burgers, where they work perfectly.

There were some chopped cornichons and a choice of relishes and mustard, plus shredded iceberg lettuce. Oh yes! Home-made fries too.

Not gourmet food, but really tasty.
