Well, hardly a recipe but a really nice meal all the same. The only bit of work was making the guacamole, the sour cream and chive dip was bought and cooking steak and jacket potatoes isn’t exactly taxing.
The potatoes were big Desirées, probably my favourite all-round spud. They are great for most things but they really work brilliantly as jacket potatoes, the yellowy flesh has a lovely nutty flavour.
It was another meal that managed to be not-festive, part of my retreat from Christmas food.
